Sugar Leaf Treats is a cheerful and cute bakeshop serving cafe fare, from paninis to salads, plus sweet treats like cookies, tarts, cakes and more! Read our review below and prepare for your mouth to start watering...
Take a walk into this super cute little sweet shop and you’ll be in sugar heaven! Whether you like cake, cookies, quiche, cheesecake, paninis, salad, cinnamon rolls, turnovers, coffee, or hot chocolate with their homemade marshmallows, you can get it right at Sugar Leaf Treats. If you are having trouble deciding what to order from their display, ask the friendly staff about their recommendations and most popular items. After the first bite, you’ll know that you’re eating something made-from-scratch.
Time required: Arriving at 10:50 am, my brother Seth and I waited 15 minutes in line. After ordering, we had our food and were sitting down in 5 minutes. Some days, this place is hopping with people and the line reaches to the door. It just shows how good they are!
Tip: Order everything you want on your first time at the counter so you don't have to wait through line a second time.
Sugar Leaf is located inside Grand Village Shops - a cute outdoor shopping village where you park around the perimeter or in their lower parking lot and then pop in and out of tiny shops around their “town square”. Total Spend for two people (not including the tip): $9.43:
1 Cookie - Seth and I tried their Turtle Cookie - Chocolate cookie with toasted pecans, caramel on the top, and then chocolate drizzle! If you can get it out of the package, you won’t be disappointed with the taste!
1 Slice of Cake - We split the Almond Joy Cake - It’s a layer cake slice bursting with coconut. The outer edge of the cake is wrapped in chocolate and coated with slivered almonds - yum! It’s true decadence: Seth and I were glad we decided to split the slice!
Sugar Leaf's story: Originally from Atkinson, a small farm town in Nebraska, Todd and Lori Jansen moved to Branson in 1996 with their family of 6. In 2004, they opened Sugar Leaf Treats and the rest is history!
